Buses For Other States

Tennessee Buses

Tennessee Buses have to meet strict standards set up by the State of Tennessee.  Conventional buses cannot be longer than 66 passengers.  (72 and 77 passenger conventional are not accepted, transits may be as large as 90 passenger)  They must have air brakes and meet axle standards such as specified front and rear axle weights, roof hatches, push out windows, cowl turn signals, etc.  Thus 66-90 passenger buses that have disc brakes are not acceptable.  66-90 passenger buses that do not have the specified axle weights are not accepted.  Therefore, it is more difficult to find a bus that will pass Tennessee Standards.  The buses that we have listed Spec 4 Tennessee will meet those specifications.

Ohio Buses

Likewise, Ohio also has strict standards that are above national DOT specifications.  Seats have to be at least 42 inches tall whereas a standard DOT seat is around 37 inches.  Front doors must open outward etc.etc.  Some modifications can be made to conform to Ohio standards.  Please call us to see what can be done to a specific bus that you see on the web site that you feel would be an asset to your transportation system.

Louisiana Buses

Louisiana Buses have specifications that are easier to meet than Tennessee or Ohio.  They must have a second stop arm and a walk gate on the front bumper.  Just about any bus can easily be adapted to Louisiana.  Call us to inquire about any bus that you would like to be set up for Louisiana.
